Joel D. Eagle
Partner
Joel is a member of the firm's Environmental practice group. He represents public and private entities in the industrial, commercial and manufacturing sectors, where he focuses his practice on all aspects of environmental law including:
- Regulatory compliance counseling involving CERCLA and state cleanup laws, water and air pollution control, EPA and California Air Resources Board mobile source emission regulations, hazardous waste management, the Toxic Substances Control Act, and OSHA;
- Environmental due diligence and contract negotiation in connection with the sale and purchase of businesses and industrial properties;
- Litigation and enforcement defense;
- Zoning and land use; and
- Federal, state and local environmental permitting and licensing.
In law school, Joel served as a legal extern for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 5 in Chicago and a judicial extern in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He earned a certificate in Chicago-Kent's Program in Environmental and Energy Law.
