Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service that recognizes outstanding attorneys across more than 70 practice areas who have achieved a high level of peer recognition and professional accomplishment. Selections are made annually through a patented multiphase process, which includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent research evaluations, and peer reviews by practice area. Only the top 5 percent of attorneys in Minnesota are named to the annual Super Lawyers list.

Rising Stars candidates undergo the same rigorous selection process as Super Lawyers but must be either 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
