Matt is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice. He advises clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, with a particular focus on representing private equity funds, real estate asset managers, and institutional investors in the United States and internationally. He has significant experience guiding clients through acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and complex financing arrangements, including mortgage and mezzanine loans, fund-level financing, and subscription-based credit facilities.

Matt regularly counsels both domestic and foreign investor consortia, developers, lenders, and REITs, and has developed a strong track record assisting Korean asset managers and institutional investors with inbound U.S. real estate investments. His work spans major U.S. markets and asset classes, including office, logistics, and e-commerce facilities, and includes advising on the acquisition, development, and financing of large-scale projects as well as secondary market portfolio transactions. Matt is known for his practical approach to structuring transactions and his ability to navigate the complexities of cross-border investments.

  • Counseling joint venture investors in connection with the acquisition and financing of regional insurance company headquarters across the United States.

  • Representing a U.S. private equity real estate fund sponsor in various acquisitions and financings in the data center, bio and multifamily markets.
