Ken helps identify, secure, and manage public and private financing opportunities for development and construction projects. He is currently managing financing for several Cleveland-area business expansions, numerous real estate development deals across Ohio, and several multistate company headquarters searches. He is also assisting clients in securing financing for several dozen other development projects, including headquarters relocations, historic building rehabilitations, warehouse and distribution centers, and mixed-use developments across the country.

Ken helps clients navigate the predevelopment stage of their projects through incentive, land use, and market research; pro forma development; feasibility analyses; economic impact analyses; and property tax analyses. He specializes in structuring financing for projects that require brownfield and asbestos remediation, green stormwater infrastructure improvements, and revitalization of vacant urban land and historic buildings. Ken has also assisted clients in obtaining New Markets Tax Credits allocations and Historic Tax Credit awards.

Since 2016, Ken has helped more than 50 clients successfully close on financing for their projects, which have included large mixed-use developments in Ohio and Texas, mall redevelopments in Massachusetts and Ohio, more than a dozen brownfield redevelopments, and incentives for dozens of companies to help them grow and create new jobs. Ken also has assisted clients with financing projects in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.

Ken also oversees the PMC Finance brownfield redevelopment and Ohio Transformational Mixed-Use Development (TMUD) tax credit practice areas. In 2022 he managed the team that helped clients secure 50% of major city-category TMUD awards for projects in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus. He also spearheaded the Ohio Brownfield Remediation application process for 10 PMC clients, all of whom received awards, totaling over $21.5 million. In addition to work with this brownfield program, Ken has helped seven projects obtain authorization of up to $26 million in brownfield loans from the Ohio Water Development Authority since 2016. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ken was a graduate research assistant with the Center for Economic Development at Cleveland State University, where he evaluated economic development programs and best practices in economic development policy, performed studies on Historic Preservation Tax Credit funding and rental markets, and wrote case studies and employment/demographic impact analyses. He also worked as a District Planning Associate for the City of Portland, Oregon Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and interned with University Circle Inc. in Cleveland.
