Jake is an associate in the Construction practice group focusing on transactional “front end” representation. His experience includes advising clients on a variety of construction and real estate development matters, including design and construction agreements as well as acquisitions and dispositions of real estate.

Jake is registered as a professional engineer and a professional surveyor in the state of Ohio. Prior to earning his law degree, he worked as a land surveyor for a civil engineering and land surveying firm and as a project engineer for a multidisciplinary engineering firm.

Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Jake was a transactional associate at a mid-sized law firm based in Columbus. In that role, he represented commercial real estate clients in acquisitions and dispositions of real estate and assisted in drafting and negotiating design and construction agreements.
