Irvin is a senior managing associate in the Product Liability Litigation practice group. He has experience litigating high-profile product liability, pharmaceutical and medical device cases throughout the country in state and federal courts.
Irvin has experience bringing and defending a variety of claims relating to business disputes and has assisted in internal investigations involving potential violations of U.S. anti-corruption and securities laws. His experience includes handling a range of actions, including pre-suit and single-plaintiff claims, consolidated or coordinated proceedings, concurrent federal and state litigation, and multidistrict litigation (MDL). Irvin also advises clients on regulatory, compliance and risk management strategies and compliance matters governed by the FDA and other federal and state regulatory bodies, paying close attention to FDA’s regulation of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, to help clients understand and assess liability risks.
Irvin understands the evolving regulatory framework and business issues impacting pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He collaborates with his team to determine the best course of action for a matter, while balancing the client’s business needs, litigation costs, and potential reputational impact.
Outside of the office, Irvin serves in leadership roles in various bar and community organizations and maintains a strong pro bono practice. He strives to make a meaningful difference in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and helping foster a robust pipeline of diverse talent in the legal profession and the broader business community.
