Associate

Emma is an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. She has experience in a wide array of complex matters, including financial services litigation, real estate disputes, intellectual property disputes, creditor’s rights matters, and regulatory challenges.

Emma’s practice is distinguished by her unique experience in the art world. Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Emma held roles at several museums, where she supported the development and execution of major exhibitions, facilitated collaborations with international partners, and contributed to curatorial initiatives. Emma’s work in several facets of museum operations, combined with her legal background, enables her to provide insightful and practical advice to individuals and organizations in the art, museum, and nonprofit sectors.

While in law school, Emma worked as a law clerk at a boutique arts and entertainment firm, where she conducted research on cultural property litigation and provided support for nonprofit clients. As an intern at the Case Western Reserve University Community Development Clinic, Emma gained additional experience advising arts organizations on issues related to intellectual property protection and nonprofit governance.
