Overview

As Chief Information Officer, Matt oversees the firm’s information technology staff and resources, including business applications, hardware infrastructure, litigation support, telecommunications and user support. He is responsible for deploying technology solutions and process improvements that make it easy for our clients to do business with us, and that enable our lawyers and staff to provide superior client service. Matt also directs the firmwide library operation, which organizes all legal reference materials and assists users with research.

Matt has over 25 years’ global experience in the IT field and 13 years serving in executive leadership roles in the legal industry. He is a results-oriented, collaborative leader committed to innovation and implementing technology solutions that enhance efficiency and create value. He has developed analytics tools for some of the world’s largest and most prestigious organizations in a variety of industries including legal, healthcare, financial services, energy, defense and transportation.

Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Matt was the Chief Technology Officer for IT Managed Services at HBR Consulting, where he led technology transformation and operations for global law firm clients. He also held leadership positions in IT transformation at WilmerHale LLP and content analytics at the legal service provider, LexisNexis. He is an accomplished author and speaker on advanced technology trends, including artificial intelligence and data analytics.
