Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that Senior Managing Associate <strong><a href="https://www.thompsonhine.com/professionals/king-jamar" target="_self" rel="noopener">Jamar T. King</a>&nbsp;</strong>has been named to the Local Rules Committee of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. King, one of 13 members, is serving a three-year term, effective October 1, 2021.

King has litigated matters in a variety of areas from criminal defense to consumer financial actions to mineral rights disputes. But he focuses his practice on representing businesses, organizations and individuals ensnared in government enforcement actions.

He earned recognition by <em>Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch</em> for Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense: White-Collar in 2021 and 2022. He was named to Lawyers of Color’s 2020 “Hot List.”

King served on the Board of Commissioners of the Ohio Supreme Court Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law from 2018 to 2021 and was a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Leadership Academy Class of 2020 and the Dayton Bar Association Leadership Development Class of 2015.

He is a former board member of both Wesley Dayton, a full service community center on Dayton’s west side, and UpDayton, a community-oriented project incubator.
