Thompson Hine LLP, a national law firm recognized for its innovative approach and strategic growth, is pleased to announce the addition of Rachael Rodman as a partner in its Business Litigation practice group and the Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation sub-group in the Columbus office. Rodman’s arrival marks another significant step in the firm’s ongoing expansion of its intellectual property (IP) and technology litigation capabilities across key markets.
“Rachael’s impressive track record in IP and complex business litigation, combined with her deep roots in the Ohio legal community, makes her an outstanding addition to our growing national IP and technology litigation team,” said Rob Ware, practice group leader of the firm’s Business Litigation practice. “Her experience complements our recent expansion in Minneapolis and underscores our commitment to building a premier IP litigation practice with top-tier talent in every region where our clients do business. Her dynamic personality, deep expertise, and client-focused approach align perfectly with our culture of innovation and collaboration. We are excited to welcome her to our team and look forward to the impact she will have on our clients and our continued growth.”
Rodman joins Thompson Hine at a time of dynamic growth for the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation group. Her addition closely follows the recent opening of the firm’s Minneapolis office, which brought on a team of high-profile IP and technology litigators from Robins Kaplan. This strategic expansion has deepened Thompson Hine’s ability to serve clients in high-stakes patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright, and licensing disputes nationwide. Rodman’s arrival in Columbus further enhances the firm’s ability to deliver sophisticated IP litigation services to clients in the Midwest and beyond.
Rachael is a seasoned trial lawyer in the firm’s Business Litigation group, with a concentration on high-stakes business disputes involving intellectual property. She brings extensive first-chair trial experience in federal courts across the country, handling complex matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, as well as proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). She draws on a strong foundation in commercial litigation, making her particularly effective in cases where intellectual property and contractual issues overlap. Rodmans’s clients span a wide range of industries, including technology, financial, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors.
“Thompson Hine offers the ideal combination of a highly respected national brand and a dynamic, growing IP litigation practice,” said Rodman. “The firm’s commitment to expanding its premier IP and technology litigation team—one that handles all types of intellectual property disputes in federal courts across the country—was a major draw for me. With its coast-to-coast coverage and a culture that truly values innovation, collaboration, and client service, I knew this was the right place to take my practice and serve clients at the highest level. I am excited to be part of a team that is clearly investing in growth and delivering exceptional results for clients nationwide.”
