Federal Circuit Denies Full Court Review
On October 14, 2025, the Federal Circuit denied full court review of the three-judge panel decision in PowerBlock Holdings Inc. v. iFit Inc., leaving the panel’s decision intact. The denial of en banc rehearing effectively signals the full court’s agreement with the panel’s conclusion that the patented claims for the selectorized dumbbell system are not directed to an abstract idea under the Supreme Court’s two-step Alice framework. Notably, no federal circuit judges issued dissenting opinions in the denial, further underscoring the panel’s reasoning.
