On June 13 the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a decision in The Atlanta Opera overturning Trump-era NLRB precedent from its 2019 ruling in SuperShuttle DFW, Inc. on determining whether a worker is an employee covered by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) or an independent contractor excluded from coverage. FBI Issues Business Email Compromise Alert

On June 9 the FBI released a public service announcement (PSA) addressing new information and statistics on cyberattacks related to business email compromise (BEC), with an emphasis on a recent increase in such attacks targeting the real estate sector. California Privacy Law Enforcement Delayed Until 2024

On June 30, 2023, a Superior Court for the County of Sacramento issued a tentative ruling that both prohibits the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) from enforcing certain California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) regulations until 2024 and mandates a 12-month grace period between the adoption of future CPRA regulations and their regulatory enforcement.
