Please join partners Debbie Brenneman and Kim Wilcoxon for an overview of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed on March 18. This bipartisan legislation impacts employers by expanding employee family leave and sick leave benefits to individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and requiring health plans to cover COVID-19 testing. Our presentation will cover the law’s requirements as it impacts employers and their workforces, including:

  • Which employers are covered
  • How the new paid leave requirements work
  • Who is entitled to leave
  • How the new requirements overlap with existing leave
  • Which employers may be entitled to exemptions
  • What tax credits were created to help fund the paid leave
  • How benefit coverage is impacted by a leave
  • What changes (unrelated to the new leaves) are required for group health plans

Our 45-minute presentation will be followed by 15 minutes for questions. Please register online to receive an email containing log-in information.
