Focus Areas
- Counsel autonomous vehicle developers on federal and state legal frameworks and regulatory obligations including those impacting novel vehicle designs. Assist manufacturers on importation of uncertified autonomous vehicles for research and testing.
- Represent multiple motor vehicle manufacturers through all stages of NHTSA enforcement proceedings including factual and legal development, penalty negotiation and successful completion of performance obligations.
- Prepare comprehensive rulemaking comments related to the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) standard on behalf of an international heavy-duty truck manufacturer.
- Develop and conduct in-house training on NHTSA regulatory compliance issues for legal and business audiences.
- Counsel and advise multiple motor vehicle manufacturers on questions of innovative product compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
- Conduct TREAD Act and Early Warning Reporting regulation audit across multiple business units of major specialty vehicle manufacturer.
