- Awarded summary judgment in federal court in North Carolina in a matter involving discrimination and retaliation allegations arising from a joint-employment relationship.
- Secured a favorable settlement for a FinTech entrepreneur in an arbitration matter involving intensive discovery related to business valuation and earn-out potential.
- Representing clients in multiple class and collective actions across various industries and jurisdictions involving wage and hour issues, including minimum wage, overtime, employee classification, prevailing wage, and PAGA claims.
- Representing clients in matters involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and hostile work environment, from administrative proceedings through litigation, achieving multiple favorable outcomes.
- Defending employers in workers’ compensation matters through administrative proceedings and appeals.
- Representing clients in federal court in high-stakes, multimillion-dollar trade secret litigation.
- Conducting workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and wage and hour violations.
- Preparing various employment agreements, including severance agreements, arbitration agreements, noncompete agreements, restrictive covenant, and last-chance agreements.
- Defending disciplinary decisions for public- and private-sector clients in arbitration proceedings.
- Advising clients on employment aspects of significant business mergers and acquisitions.
- Negotiating on behalf of public- and private-sector clients in the collective bargaining process.
- Counseling clients on day-to-day employment issues impacting their businesses, including drafting various employee policies and handbooks.
