Brad is a registered patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property group. He focuses on patent prosecution in the electrical, computer, biomedical and related arts.

He prepares and prosecutes patent applications for a wide range of technologies, including 5G, WiFi 6, HEVC, electronic devices, biomedical and health care products such as transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS) devices, stimulators, relative value units (RVU) and magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) systems as well as artificial intelligence technologies and chipsets, including audio and video codecs.

Brad’s experience extends to technologies used in computers, mobile phones, televisions, appliances and music players. Brad also has extensive experience managing patent infringement litigation in U.S. federal district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and he regularly engages in examiner interviews to streamline prosecutions.

Prior to joining Thompson Hine, he worked as a patent attorney handling prosecution and litigation across biomedical, health care and technology sectors, and he gained early legal experience through a judicial externship with the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
