Amanda is an associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group. She focuses her practice on compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, DOL regulations, and related federal and state requirements, as well as drafting and amending plan documents, summaries, and participant communications. Amanda also represents clients in ERISA litigation matters, including claims for benefits and class actions. She maintains an active role in the firm’s Labor & Employment group, where she assists with a wide range of workplace compliance issues and wage and hour litigation.
While earning her J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Amanda served as a teaching assistant for the LLEAP (Legal Writing, Leadership, Experiential Learning, Advocacy and Professionalism) course and completed an externship with the Office of Legal Affairs at John Carroll University, where she partnered with in-house counsel on legal and regulatory research. She also served as a judicial extern in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio and honed her transactional skills in the law school’s Community Development Clinic, advising nonprofit organizations on governance and compliance matters.
