Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that Forbes has named Atlanta-based labor and employment partner Glianny Fagundo to its second annual list of America’s Top Lawyers, a recognition designed to spotlight the nation’s finest attorneys in private practice based on a rigorous, multi-stage process of editorial research and analysis.
Forbes highlighted that Fagundo was the founder of the National Latina Business Women Association, Atlanta; a thought leader offering Spanish-language commentary on employment law, immigration, and civil rights issues; and that she secured summary judgment for Northeast Georgia Health System in an FLSA suit over nurse shift bonuses.
Former managing partner Deborah Z. Read was named to the inaugural list in 2024 for her early pivot to innovation. Read was also recognized earlier this year in Forbes’ first Best-in-State list for Ohio.
To select the lawyers for the list, Forbes identified a wide pool of eligible candidates through interviews with industry insiders, outside nominations and editorial research, as well as outreach through law firms and local, state, and national bar associations. In addition, recommendations were offered by an independent advisory board of experts. Forbes also notes that its methodology and assessment process was designed by an editorial team with broad experience in law practice and knowledge of the legal marketplace. In-depth research into each candidate yielded evaluations on a variety of weighted criteria, including reputation, industry honors, influence on the legal landscape, client list, advocacy performance, practice impact, reviews by peers and clients, credentials and affiliations, thought leadership, pro bono work, mentorship, and community and/or diversity work, resulting in a “collection of elite lawyers … delivering the finest legal representation for their clients across a wide array of practice areas.”
