<p>The U.S. Department of Commerce&rsquo;s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has extended the public comment period for its November 19, 2018 advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) for &ldquo;Review of Controls of Certain Emerging Technologies.&rdquo; In a December 10, 2018 <a href="https://bis.doc.gov/index.php/documents/federal-register-notices-1/2363-extension-of-comment-period-review-of-controls-for-certain-emerging-technologies-delivered-to-ofr-on-12-11-18-extending-comment-deadline-to-1-10-19/file" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announcement</a>, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Export Administration Matthew Borman extended the deadline from December 19, 2018, until January 10, 2019, in response to public demand for an extension.
