About the Speaker:
Susan Beth is the chief operating officer of NRD Capital, a $150 million private equity fund focused on investing in franchise and multi-location businesses. She was recruited as the fund’s first employee by founder and managing partner, Aziz Hashim, to leverage her deep and varied operational experience to launch the fund in 2015.
Susan is one of the few people who have truly experienced franchising from all sides. She spent 14 years as a franchisor, nine years as a franchisee (having bought her first location at 19), eight years as a supplier to the industry and is now an investor in franchise businesses.
Susan’s honors include receiving the International Franchise Association’s prestigious Bonny LeVine Award (2012); receiving the 2013 Crystal Compass from the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee; being named by 1851 magazine as a “Young One to Watch” in 2016; being named an “Emerging Leader” by The M&A Advisor (2017); being recognized as a 2018 “Influential Woman in Business” by The Daily Herald; and being selected as one of 2019’s “Most Influential Women in Middle Market M&A” by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine.
