Tashia is an associate in the Corporate Transactions & Securities practice group. She advises clients in the investment management and financial services industry with a concentration on regulatory and compliance matters related to organizing and launching funds, drafting prospectuses and service provider agreements, seeking exemptive relief, responding to inquiries from regulators, and coordinating with fund service providers. Tashia has also helped many funds prepare and deliver proxy materials to shareholders and has assisted in the successful completion of a number of fund reorganizations.

Tashia also regularly advises private fund clients (i.e. private equity funds, hedge funds, and venture capital funds) on regulatory and compliance matters including all aspects of federal and state securities laws and related issues such as formation, offerings and regulatory reporting.

Tashia assists registered investment advisers with various aspects of their operations, including regulatory filings and disclosure. Her capabilities also include forming and registering broker-dealers with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as well as ongoing compliance advice for broker-dealers.

Tashia earned her J.D. from Capital University Law School. While attending law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Michael Watson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She also served as a summer associate in Thompson Hine’s Columbus office in 2017 and 2018 performing extensive legal research and preparing various legal documents for a wide range of practice areas.
