Thompson Hine Entrepreneurship Series

Sponsored by Thompson Hine’s Early Stage & Emerging Companies Practice and Skipping Stone

Metro Atlanta is one of the fastest growing high-tech urban centers in the country, home to more than 13,000 technology companies and a wealth of knowledge and expertise for entrepreneurs and new businesses. Thompson Hine’s Early Stage & Emerging Companies practice is pleased to host our first 2018 Entrepreneurship Series event, Building a Sustainable Company, an interactive panel discussion and networking event focused on connecting emerging companies with Metro Atlanta’s venture capital community.

Our panel of successful startup companies and advisers will provide tips and lessons for building a successful and sustainable business, share creative ideas and best practices, and explore the range of resources available to help new businesses achieve their goals.

Featured presenters include Alex Han, co-founder of PupWalkr; Eithan Martinez, founder of MyRighty; Mitch Masia, co-founder of Hexient Labs; and Mike Blake, director of valuation services, Brady Ware. Moderated by Thompson Hine attorneys Greg Chafee and Jake Evans, Building a Sustainable Company will tackle these topics, among others:

  • Elements of a good business plan
  • Strategies for raising seed capital
  • Determining how much funding and how many investors are enough
  • Managing cash flow successfully
  • Building a strong management team
  • Proper legal structures and contracts

In addition to the panel discussion, we’ll feature premium cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to enjoy while you network with other entrepreneurs, investors and innovators.
