  • Representing public companies and other entities in plant acquisitions and sales, including chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and other industrial.
  • Representing a public company with respect to real estate matters arising from proposed acquisition of energy company based in Houston, including 25 owned or leased facilities in nine states and two Canadian provinces.
  • Representing national manufacturer in connection with acquisition of land to facilitate $80 million pilot plant project.
  • Representing a non-U.S. insurance company in a $240 million sale involving 43 retail and office properties in 14 states.
  • Representing purchaser on real estate aspects of acquisition of major U.S. steel plants in Illinois and Ohio.
  • Representing a public company in the $260 million sale of a division involving the disposition of leased and owned properties in 22 states.

  • Representing Fortune 500 manufacturer in $170 million headquarters relocation project situated on 53 acres of land.
  • Representing company with Section 1031 tax-deferred exchange transaction of current corporate headquarters for newly constructed corporate headquarters, with refinancing of new headquarters pursuant to $5 million tax-free bond issuance.

  • Representing financial institution in sourcing of facilities and portfolio facilities management for 400+ properties.

  • Representing manufacturers on how to strategically deal with closed manufacturing plants to minimize long-term environmental risks and maximize real estate value.

  • Representing sellers of contaminated sites, including representation of Massachusetts company in sale of contaminated property with post-closing remediation obligations, and representation of seller of contaminated industrial site in Anaheim, California.
  • Representing companies on the development, financing and operation of utility scale solar, wind, biomass and geothermal projects, including business formation and organization, funding and regulatory authorizations, renewable energy credits (RECs), carbon emission reduction contracts and transmission access.
  • Representing corporate clients in the Midwest region with respect to development of wind farms (both owned and leased).
  • Representing and negotiating a wind easement, lease and renewable energy credit purchase agreement for a paper mill project in West Virginia.
  • Representing national telecom company in various leasing transactions, including warehouse, office, conduit and equipment leases, and lease termination agreements in 14 states including Maryland, New York, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, District of Columbia, Ohio, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa and Delaware.
  • Representing a major wireless communication company in several multitranche, multistate transactions, including the sales, leases and other transfers of cellular towers.
  • Representing wireless communications company in obtaining zoning board approvals for the siting of cell phone towers across multiple U.S. Midwestern counties, and handling appeals.
  • Representing two communication tower owners in their acquisition and financing of over 175 tower sites.
  • Representing seller of communications towers in portfolio sales including separate sales of 161 towers, 17 towers and 21 towers.
  • Representing an international health care services company in the negotiation of a master real estate brokerage services agreement with a global brokerage firm, for real estate holdings worldwide.
  • Representing a financial services company in the development and implementation of a broker RFP and interview process and the negotiation of a brokerage services agreement for full-service tenant representation (including leasing services and construction coordination), relating to a corporate headquarters office in downtown Chicago.
  • Representing a Japanese automaker on joint venture and ground lease financing for an engine manufacturing plant.
  • Representing a corporation in the $650 million purchase of paper mills plus 650,000 acres of timberland in several New England and Midwestern states.
