Thompson Hine LLP has been named by The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) as one of only 32 law firms in the country to qualify for its new Gold Standard Certification, a designation recognizing firms that demonstrate they value women as leaders in the workplace by promoting them to top leadership positions and acknowledging their contributions through compensation.
WILEF invited more than 300 firms with 100 or more lawyers to apply for the certification. The 32 firms that ultimately qualified each meet at least three of the following criteria:
"I continue to be proud of our firm's efforts to empower women," said Heidi B. Goldstein, chair of Spotlight on Women®, Thompson Hine's women's initiative. "Being one of just 32 firms in the country to achieve this distinction affirms that we remain a pacesetter in the advancement and promotion of professional women."
David J. Hooker, the firm's managing partner, said, "This certification is a testament to the efforts of our women's initiative and our firm's strong commitment to encouraging and supporting the professional growth of our women lawyers. We are proud of the women who have been instrumental in helping Thompson Hine achieve success."
