An independent survey of corporate counsel ranks the law firm Thompson Hine LLP among the best firms in the country for handling complex corporate transactions. The survey, conducted by The BTI Consulting Group, includes more than 150 interviews with Fortune 1000 in-house counsel and examines the relationships between corporations and the law firms they choose to handle their most significant mergers, acquisitions and other transactions. The research is summarized in a set of reports called The BTI Transactions Series, which provides a comprehensive look at law firm performance in corporate transactions.

According to the research, Thompson Hine ranks among the best in the country for corporate transactions, including:

• among the top 10 law firms in the country for "understanding the client’s needs"
• among the top 15 "strongly recommended" law firms in the country
• among the top 20 "bet-the-company" law firms in the country

In addition, Thompson Hine was recognized as a market leader for the following types of transactions: divestitures, friendly mergers, hostile takeovers, leveraged buy-outs, private acquisitions, private equity and private mergers.
