  • Serving as national trial and coordinating counsel for a leading manufacturer of food equipment systems in product liability matters, including the defense of product designs for meat grinders, mixers, slicers, saws, tenderizers and deep fat fryers.
  • Serving as national counsel for a major electrical/electronic equipment manufacturer in the defense of shock, burn and explosion cases involving electricity and electrical/electronic products.
  • Serving as regional counsel for a construction and mining equipment manufacturer in product liability matters involving heavy equipment and warranty matters.

  • Representing an international oil producer in toxic tort litigation involving paints and thinners.
  • Representing a transportation products manufacturer in defending product liability cases alleging chemical leaks from railroad tank cars.

  • Handling tort litigation for shipowners across the U.S. in a wide variety of admiralty matters, including national defense of asbestos bodily injury cases and other personal injury, Jones Act cases, cases involving hull and cargo damage, collisions, other property damage, vessel documentation, allisions, marine insurance, environmental and Coast Guard matters.
  • Serving as primary counsel defending several automobile manufacturers in product liability and personal injury litigation.
  • Representing a major aerospace manufacturer.
  • Defending manufacturers whose products are linked to major catastrophes including hotel fires in San Juan, Las Vegas, White Plains (New York) and San Francisco; a supper club fire in Kentucky; the collapse of a hotel skywalk in Kansas City; a paper mill fire; a cold storage warehouse fire in Wisconsin; and a major health scare.
  • Defending a leading manufacturer of hand tools against product liability lawsuits.
  • Defending a large handgun manufacturer against "cost recovery" claims by various municipalities.
  • Representing a major consumer products manufacturer in a proposed nationwide class action involving a registered pesticide.
  • Representing a former building products manufacturer in its defense of asbestos in building cases.
  • Counseling a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in product liability matters.
  • Provided multistate representation of a target defendant in a multimillion dollar damage phase of consumer class action based litigation.
  • Represented shipowner before Ohio Court of Appeals, resulting in vacating $1.8 million personal injury verdict as excessive due to passion and prejudice of jury.
  • Represent several major polymer service companies in national product liability matters.
  • Represented shipowner in negotiations with Department of Justice resulting in satisfactory resolution of $3.5 million claim for oil pollution cleanup expenses from sunken vessel.
  • Represented shipowner in defense of seaman's claim of career-ending back injury, resulting in jury verdict for shipowner.
  • Provided defense of a putative consumer class action against a leading power tool manufacturer.
  • Representing a Fortune 10 manufacturer in multiple jurisdictions for multimillion dollar fire and business interruption losses.
  • Providing defense for designers against sick building syndrome allegations relating to mold.
  • Defending a manufacturer of drainage sanitary sewer bridge and other construction products in national warranty and property damage litigation.
  • Providing national defense of supplier of seamless and welded tubular products in cases involving significant property damage and economic and business interruption losses.
  • Representing a manufacturer of consumer product used to combat dust allergies in class action and individual cases.
