price-fixing in the high-pressure laminates and magnetic iron oxide industries.
- Representation of businesses and executives in New York and New Jersey federal and state
criminal environmental prosecutions.
- Pre-merger filings and antitrust agency reviews with the Federal Trade Commission and the
Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice in transactions involving PVC resins, computer
circuit board laminates, radio stations and nuclear power plant components.
- Representation of businesses and executives in customs fraud investigations in California,
Delaware, Georgia, Florida and New York.
- Appeals in the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh,
Tenth and Eleventh Circuits and before the Illinois and Ohio Supreme Courts.
- Representation of construction contractors in New York federal and state labor payoff
investigations and prosecutions.
- As counsel for Avery Dennison Corporation, we cooperated with the Justice Department
in the first case to be tried under the Economic Espionage Act of 1996, and, in subsequent
civil litigation, we represented Avery in a trade secret theft and RICO case against
Four Pillars Enterprises leading to a judgment in excess of $80 million.
- Representation of investigatory target in connection with the Archer-Daniels-Midland
lysine cartel investigation.
