Thompson Hine Recognized by General Counsel for Complex Litigation and Employment Litigation
Date: September 10, 2013
CLEVELAND - September 10, 2013 - Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized as a "Standout" in Complex Litigation and Employment Litigation, ranking among the top 18 and 16 law firms in the country, respectively. The firm was also recognized for its strength in Product Liability Litigation by The BTI Consulting Group.
"Thompson Hine continues to draw on its strength in client service and prowess to earn a rare slot as one of the top firms in both Complex Litigation and Employment Litigation," says BTI president Michael Rynowecer. "Corporate counsel consistently rank Thompson Hine high in our general counsel surveys, and client service is a consistent theme."
BTI interviewed more than 300 general counsel and in-house litigation counsel at top-spending organizations to isolate the best law firms in litigation. These one-on-one interviews were conducted by BTI's team of highly trained executive interviewers between March and June 2013.
"We are proud of the successes we continue to achieve for our clients," said Deborah Read, Thompson Hine's managing partner. "Recently, we secured a significant victory for our clients in a precedent-setting multidistrict litigation, and we just settled on very favorable terms for our client a complex case involving post-closing breaches of an asset purchase agreement. We are equipped to take on important challenges for our clients. We are now defending the board of a publicly traded company in three shareholder derivative and class action complaints challenging the fairness of a $2.5 billion merger transaction, and we are handling a matter of first impression involving the intersection of same-sex and common-law marriage."
