Date: May 11, 2011
Thompson Hine LLP counts more mutual funds as clients than any other law firm, according to MutualFundWire.com (MFWire). The law firm ranks first, out of the more than 100 firms serving all of the 723 fund families included in the MFWire survey, in the number of mutual fund clients represented.
The ranking data appears in MFWire's article "Starting Your Own Fund Family: Hire Expert Counsel," the second in an eight-part series on starting a mutual fund family.
Thompson Hine's Investment Management practice, part of the firm's Corporate Transactions & Securities practice group, assists clients in organizing and registering funds, creating and implementing compliance programs, and providing ongoing advice to funds, fund service providers and fund directors and trustees.
Donald S. Mendelsohn, who leads the firm's Investment Management practice, said, "Our mutual fund clients appreciate that we are able to help them with every aspect of their operations and rely on our industry experience and detailed attention to client service."
"We are pleased to be recognized by MFWire," said Frank D. Chaiken, leader of Thompson Hine's Corporate Transactions & Securities practice group. "This ranking reflects the dedicated efforts of our lawyers and their commitment to providing world-class, cost-effective legal services to the investment fund industry."
