Professional Experience

David is a registered patent attorney and a member of the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. He practices all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent preparation and prosecution; foreign patent prosecution; re-examination practice; infringement matters; intellectual property licensing; intellectual property due diligence; patent issues relating to Hatch-Waxman; and the preparation of freedom to operate, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions.

David is admitted to practice in Illinois, Ohio and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, David was as an associate at Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery in Chicago, Illinois.

Beverage dispensers, food and beverage packaging, food processing methods and equipment, automotive engine parts, automotive braking system parts and control systems, child safety equipment, railcar components, degaussing equipment, medical devices and control systems, construction equipment and accessories, acoustic sensors and signal processing methods, document processing software, search engine optimization software, and computer-aided design software.
