Tim is a partner in the Real Estate practice group. He focuses his practice on institutional real estate through mortgage lending, mezzanine financing, joint ventures, acquisitions/sales and leasing.

- Representation of a pension fund in a $155,600,000.00 mortgage loan with accruals and additional interest based on operating income and refinancing and sales proceeds for the acquisition and repositioning of an office building in the Financial District in New York, New York.
- Representation of a pension fund in a $190,000,000.00 mortgage loan with additional interest based on operating income and refinancing and sales proceeds for the permanent financing of an office building in Denver, Colorado.
- Representation of a private real estate company in a $22,300,000.00 mortgage loan by a life insurance company for a net leased office building in Walnut Creek, California.
- Representation of a private real estate company in a $25,000,000.00 mortgage loan by a life insurance company for a portfolio of seven light industrial/warehouse buildings in the Central Valley of California.
- Mezzanine Financing:
- Representation of an institutional investor in a $7,632,000.00 mezzanine loan as part of the capital structure for the construction of an approximately 597,000 square foot regional shopping center in Pennsylvania.
- Representation of an institutional investor in a $28,550,000.00 mezzanine loan as part of the capital structure for the construction of a 437 unit condominium project with related commercial space and parking in the Los Angeles, California metropolitan area.
- Representation of an institutional investor in a $7,065,000.00 preferred equity investment as part of the capital structure (which included HUD financing and Section 108 financing) for the construction of a 204 unit multi-family apartment complex, with related commercial space and parking, in the Northeast.
- Joint Ventures:
- Representation of a pension fund in the acquisition from and the joint venture with a hotel operator of, and the related $122,400,000.00 mortgage financing for, eight hotels in California, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas and Virginia.
- Representation of a pension fund in the acquisition from and the joint venture with a private real estate company of, and the related $29,020,000.00 mortgage loan and the related $2,500,000.00 mezzanine loan for, a 401 unit apartment project in Chicago, Illinois.
- Representation of a pension fund in the acquisition through a joint venture with a private real estate company of, and the related $24,000,000.00 first mortgage loan and the related $7,950,000 mezzanine loan for, a 356 unit suburban apartment complex in suburban Kansas City, Kansas and the conversion of the apartment complex into a condominium.
- Acquisitions/Sales:
- Representation of an investment fund in the acquisition of an approximately 828,000 square foot outlet center in South Carolina, the joint venture with a private real estate company for ownership of such outlet center, the related $46,000,000.00 mortgage loan and the related $16,000,000.00 mezzanine loan.
- Representation of an institutional investor in the acquisition and the sale of an approximately 380,000 square foot five building portfolio of light industrial/warehouse space in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin metropolitan area.

- Leasing:
- Representation of a public company Landlord in the leasing of an approximately 370,000 square foot office building with first floor retail in Southwestern Ohio.
- Representation of a private real estate company Landlord in the leasing of an approximately 180,000 square foot light industrial/warehouse building, with associated expansion right and right of first offer to purchase, in the Central Valley of California.
- Representation of an institutional investor Landlord in the leasing of anchor spaces to national retail tenants and in-line leasing in an approximately 658,000 square foot power center in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area.
- Representation of a "for profit" educational institution Tenant in the leasing of a campus consisting of approximately 33 acres in the Northeast, with a related right of first refusal to purchase and a related option to purchase.
