Steve is a partner in the firm's Real Estate and Corporate Transactions & Securities practice groups with a focus on commercial real estate, lending and corporate issues in the real estate development arena. His commercial real estate practice focuses on the acquisition, development (mixed use, office, residential and retail), and sales of commercial land; commercial leasing; sale/leaseback transactions; zoning and land use planning; and construction contracts. His lending practice focuses on representing borrowers and lenders in mortgage based financing, asset-based financing and the health care arena. Steve has been involved in off-balance sheet financing and many other creative financing arrangements. His corporate practice complements his real estate practice and focuses on joint ventures, contract negotiations, and entity structuring and formation. In addition, Steve is co-chair of the Development Team of the Real Estate practice group.
Recent projects include several build-to-suit projects for tenants, each in excess of 200,000 square feet; an $80,000,000 multi-state Master Line of Credit for retail development; numerous sophisticated, commercial joint ventures representing developers and investors; representing developers and investors on several urban condominium projects; representing the City of Cincinnati in connection with the $600,000,000 Banks development; representing a lender on a $40,000,000 residential condominium loan; representing several corporate entities in headquarters or regional headquarters leasing in excess of 100,000 square feet; and representing several corporations with respect to their national real estate acquisition, disposition and leasing activities.
