Renee is a partner in the firm's Business Litigation practice group. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation. In particular, she focuses on contract disputes, real estate litigation, insurance coverage issues, software licensing, health care litigation and environmental disputes.
Renee has handled jury and bench trials, mediations, arbitrations, preliminary injunctions, federal criminal investigations, and appellate proceedings. She has experience with clients in the steel industry, medical device and medical laboratory fields, health insurance industry, industrial machinery manufacturers and real estate development firms.

- Obtained defense verdict in state court jury trial on negligence claim for a medical laboratory brought by plaintiff alleging permanent disability following a routine blood draw.
- Obtained defense verdict and recovery on counterclaim for retail tenant at jury trial in federal court on lease claim brought by landlord involving dispute over compliance with a co-tenancy clause.
- Prosecution and defense of temporary restraining orders and injunctions involving noncompetition agreements, unfair trade practices, misappropriation of trade secrets and trademark infringement claims in retail, sales and manufacturing arenas.
- Successful prosecution of fraudulent conveyance claim at trial to recover money judgment from a successor corporation and individual officers.
- Successful defense of commercial tenant in AAA arbitration on multi-million dollar lease claim involving dispute over obligation to return premises to condition as it existed at beginning of a 30 year lease term.
- Obtained arbitration award in favor of fountain designer/subcontractor against general contractor on museum project.
- Oral argument in Sixth Circuit on trade secrets licensing case involving hair color formulations.
- Successful defense of Fortune 500 purchaser of software in AAA arbitration case involving breach of licensing agreement and recovery on counter claim
- Obtained judgment in favor of client at trial of breach of licensing agreement and misappropriation of trade secrets claims.
