Paul is senior counsel in the firm's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group. He focuses his practice on the design, administration and termination of tax-qualified plans and trusts; analysis of benefit issues and liabilities in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions; welfare benefit plan and flexible benefit plan implementation, administration and documentation; COBRA; non-qualified deferred compensation plan drafting and compliance; multiemployer plan withdrawal liability and arbitration; qualified governmental plan compliance with the Internal Revenue Code; and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor, both in connection with employee benefit plan audits and regulatory relief programs. Paul has spoken on numerous occasions on various issues dealing with ERISA compliance.
Paul is admitted to practice in the state of Georgia.
