Professional Experience
Nathan is a member of the firm's Environmental practice group. He focuses his practice on environmental counseling in business, regulatory and legislative matters; environmental enforcement actions; and compliance with environmental regulations. His specific areas of concentration include: Superfund matters; air and water pollution control issues; compliance counseling for hazardous waste; toxic torts; land use matters; and federal, state and local permits and licenses.

- Defense of criminal prosecutions in connection with alleged unlawful industrial wastewater discharges to storm sewers

- Negotiation of terms and conditions and cleanup standards in connection with industrial site remediations
- Counseling clients on federal, state, and local compliance and air, water, and waste permitting requirements
- Defense of various owners, operators, and transporters in Superfund actions in connection with the federal NPL sites and state supervised sites
- Defense of federal, state, and local civil enforcement actions
- Due diligence for corporate acquisitions and sales
- Live stock facility permitting and related compliance matters
