Professional Experience
Joe is a partner in the firm's Business Litigation and Labor & Employment practice groups. He is an experienced litigator who handles civil trials, appeals and the arbitration of a wide variety of commercial disputes. His practice focuses on contract, securities, credit, mergers and acquisitions, employment and other business disputes.
Over the past 25 years, Joe has handled commercial litigation matters for a broad range of clients, including accounting firms, banks, professional trade organizations, libraries, title insurance companies and other commercial entities. Joe is also a member of AAA Panel of Neutrals and hears commercial and employment cases.
Joe is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Sixth and DC Circuits, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

- Defended lender liability counterclaims in numerous commercial foreclosures
- Prosecuted civil RICO action on behalf of banks against commercial real estate developers
- Defended foreign parent against stockholder allegations concerning acquisitions of U.S. subsidiary
- Defended Title VII and other employment discrimination claims, and prosecuted non-compete and related claims before federal and state agencies and courts
- Defended not-for-profit library and professional trade organization in series of actions challenging the constitutionality of user and member regulations
- Defended real estate developers in a variety of conveyance contract disputes
