John practices principally in the firm's Construction group. Dedicated to solving problems, he advocates for his clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation; throughout Ohio and across the country. He represents general contractors, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers in large and small disputes for both private and public projects. He represents clients in contract disputes, design claims, defect claims, delay claims, bond claims, bid protests, false claims act claims, prompt pay act claims, and mechanics lien disputes. John's experience as a bankruptcy attorney also enables him to advise his clients on the valuation of construction disputes when a party becomes bankrupt.
John also practices in the firm's Business Litigation group, litigating a variety of claims in both state and federal courts. He has represented companies and lenders in a variety of matters, including the defense of an indenture trustee in years of complex multi-district litigation after the collapse of the country's largest healthcare receivables factoring company. John also litigates general government contract claims, as well as disputes over local government and library funding.
John is licensed and admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, The United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
