Professional Experience

James is an associate in the firm's Competition, Antitrust & White-Collar Crime and Business Litigation practice groups. His practice focuses on counseling clients in response to government inquiries and prosecutions for fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and similar matters. In addition, James conducts internal investigations on behalf of public and private companies.

Prior to entering private practice, James was an Assistant District Attorney for over four years in the New York County District Attorney's Office under Robert M. Morgenthau. During his tenure, James successfully tried a wide range of cases in Manhattan Supreme Court. In addition, James initiated and conducted numerous Grand Jury investigations and presentations.

During law school, James interned for the Honorable Richard M. Berman, District Court Judge for the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York, as well as the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Prior to attending law school, James was a sales executive and product manager at HotJobs.com, a Yahoo! company.

James is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern Districts of New York.
