Professional Experience
Heather is an associate in the firm's Labor & Employment practice group. She focuses her practice on representing management clients in all areas of labor and employment law with a particular emphasis on litigation involving restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour disputes. She has also represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Ohio Unemployment Compensation Review Board, and the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Heather has also counseled clients on a variety of labor and employment matters including wage and hour issues, discipline and termination decisions, the creation of employee handbooks, harassment training for supervisors, and FMLA and other employee leave issues.
Heather is licensed to practice law in Ohio and the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

- The Ohio State University, B.A., 2002
- Substantial experience in counseling employers on FMLA, ADA, leave laws and wage and hour laws, and other employee matters.
- Litigation experience in a noncompete, trade secret, discrimination and retaliation matters.
- Defending charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state organizations such as the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
- Represented service company in Department of Labor wage and hour investigation of company-wide exemption classifications;
- Conducts company-requested audits of wage and hour practices, including proper classification of exempt/non-exempt employees, and advises employers on risk exposure and best practices
