Professional Experience

Diane is counsel in the firm's Real Estate practice group. She focuses her practice on all types and aspects of real estate financing, the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate and other general real estate matters.

Representative Matters

  • Real estate counsel for various agent banks in connection with credit facilities secured by real estate in multiple states.
  • Real estate counsel for two communication tower owners in their acquisition and financing of over 150 tower sites.
  • Representation of national commercial lender in connection with the issuance of letters of credit as credit enhancement for financing for numerous low income multifamily housing tax credit projects in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee and the State of Washington.
  • Representation of national commercial lender in connection with a pool of securitized loans.
  • Representation of national developer in connection with the full and partial defeasances of securitized loans.
  • Representation of borrowers and lenders, as local Ohio counsel, in multi-state financing transactions.
  • Representation of local lender in connection with more than 125 loans to refinance apartment complexes in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky.
  • Representation of life insurance company in connection with loans for Ohio shopping centers and office buildings.
  • Representation of local nonprofit lender in its issuance of loans for various rehabilitation or new construction projects in the City of Cleveland.
  • Representation of seller in connection with real estate aspects of the sale of one of seller's businesses including disposition of five paper mills and 900,000 acres of timberlands.
  • Representation of seller in connection with real estate aspects of the sale of one of seller's business lines including sale of a paper mill and six chip mills.
  • Representation of seller in connection with $250,000,000 sale of its multi-state portfolio of radio stations.
  • Representation of client in its acquisition and later sale of 175 communications towers located throughout the United States.
  • Representation of a national records management firm in its acquisition of Ohio facilities.
