Professional Experience

Conor is an associate in the firm's Business Litigation and Product Liability practice groups. He handles a variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, professional liability and banker and lender liability. He also represents major corporations in the defense of mass torts, toxic torts, putative class actions, employment-related torts, injuries to persons and property, and premises liability actions.

Before joining Thompson Hine, Conor clerked for the Honorable Alice M. Batchelder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (August 2007-August 2008). He also served as an extern for the Honorable Christopher A. Boyko, United States District Judge, Northern District of Ohio (summer 2005).

• Defense of automobile manufacturer in state and federal courts in cases alleging claims for design, manufacturing, and warning defects arising out of accidents that resulted in fuel-fed vehicle fires.
• Defense of automobile manufacturer in state court against insurance subrogation actions alleging design, manufacturing, and warning defects.
• Defense of automobile manufacturer in a putative consumer class action alleging breach of warranty.
• Defense of commercial food equipment manufacturer in state and federal courts against claims for design, manufacturing, and warning defects.
• Defense of aircraft component manufacturers in state and federal courts in actions alleging design and manufacturing defects.
• Defense of avionics/electronic systems manufacturer in federal court against an action alleging design and warning defects.
• Defense of global shipping company in federal court against a nationwide putative class action alleging breach of contract.
• Successfully moved to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction a marine sales and services company from a maritime-tort action in federal court.
