Barry is a partner in the firm's Telecommunications practice group. He focuses his practice on the representation of broadcasters, common carriers, enterprise customers, communications lenders, broadcast talent and televisions program producers. Barry is experienced in a broad range of telecommunications issues including new technologies; telephone service agreements; acquisitions and divestitures; and debtor/creditor rights involving telecommunications ventures.
Prior to joining the firm, Barry was a partner at Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, in Washington, D.C., from 1990 to 1995; and a partner at Wilner & Scheiner, in Washington, D.C., from 1979 to 1990. He was also a trial lawyer at the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division, from 1977 to 1979; and a staff lawyer at the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section, from 1975 to 1977, both in Washington, D.C.
Barry is licensed to practice in the states of Maryland and New York and in the District of Columbia.
