Professional Experience

Ash is a registered patent attorney and a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. He focuses his practice on patent, trademark, unfair competition, false advertising and copyright litigation. He also regularly counsels clients on the procurement of domestic and foreign patents (primarily in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and mechanical arts), domestic and foreign trademark registrations, and domestic copyright registrations. In addition, Ash's practice includes the preparation and issuance of opinions of counsel, the management of global patent and trademark portfolios, the assessment and evaluation of intellectual property portfolios for acquisition or sale, and the negotiation and preparation of various intellectual property agreements, including asset purchase agreements, licensing agreements, and strategic alliance agreements.

Ash is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
