Metro Atlanta is one of the fastest growing high-tech urban centers in the country, home to more than 13,000 technology companies and a wealth of knowledge and expertise for entrepreneurs and new businesses. Thompson Hine’s Early Stage & Emerging Companies practice and Skipping Stone LLC are pleased to host the second event of our Entrepreneurship Series, The Raise, an interactive panel presentation and networking event focused on connecting the innovation community in Metro Atlanta with the resources needed for success.

Participants will learn from a panel of experts, including venture capital and private equity investors and successful entrepreneurs, about effective ways to raise capital and launch products and services. The panel will share creative ideas and best practices and explore the range of resources available to help new businesses achieve their goals.

Featured presenters will include Michael Blake, Arpeggio Advisors; Glenn Bachman, 2500 Bachman Ventures; and Lucas Timberlake, Fintech Ventures Fund. Moderated by Thompson Hine partner Greg Chafee and associate Jake Evans, The Raise will tackle these topics, among others:

  • Elements of a good business plan
  • Strategies for raising seed capital
  • Determining how much funding and how many investors are enough
  • Managing cash flow successfully
  • Building a strong management team
