As much as our Client Service Pledge, diversity and inclusion are also core values of Thompson Hine. The success of our firm is driven by attorneys and staff as diverse in background, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, marital status and physical capability as the clients we serve. We view diversity and inclusion as a strategic advantage; by contributing the best talent and varied experiences of our attorneys and staff, we can harness an awareness of 21st century issues – legal, social and economic – for which clients require solutions.

To celebrate the accomplishments of key individuals both in and outside of our organization, on November 9, 2016 we held our 6th Annual Diversity Champion Lunch in our Atlanta office, with live video broadcast to each of our locations.

The 2016 Thompson Hine Diversity Champion Award was presented to Staff Attorney Anthony Andricks. Since arriving at Thompson Hine in 2012, Anthony has made a name for himself as a high impact leader, establishing a vibrant real estate practice and serving as a visible champion for LGBT inclusion at the firm and in the community at large. During law school, he was an officer for Cleveland-Marshall Allies, a social and political student organization dedicated to serving the school’s LGBT community. With the goal of increasing diversity within law schools and the legal community, he continues to serve the school as a member of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Dean’s Diversity Council.

As an active member of Thompson Hine’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative and its LGBT Task Force, Anthony is involved in many of the firm’s efforts. He also is the founder and co-chair of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s (CMBA) LGBT and Allies Committee. Launched in January 2014, its membership already has grown to more than 100 attorneys, law students and community partners, making it one of the CMBA's largest committees. The committee provides educational and networking opportunities for LGBT and ally attorneys and law students, and offers a network of experienced attorneys who can assist with the complex and unique legal issues faced by the Cleveland area’s significant LGBT population.

Our Diversity Champion Lunch is a time for us to shine light not just on those within the walls of Thompson Hine, but also on those in the community at large who are making strides in the areas of diversity and inclusion.
